Acer recently announced the UK launch of its new Revo 100 - a device that the company says has a “sleek contemporary design” as well as boasts “powerful multimedia capabilities.”
The Revo 100 is the first Acer device that features integration with the company’s newly-announced proprietary application ‘clear. fi’, which is capable of connecting all Acer devices - smartphones, notebooks, netbooks, PCs, and high-definition (HD) media players - on a home network.
The key features of the 300 x 180 x 25 mm Revo 100 include: a dual-core AMD Athion II Neo processor; next-generation Nvidia Ion graphics hardware for 1080p full HD; 4 GB of DDR3 RAM; up to a 750-GB hard drive; three USB ports; a multi-card reader; and Wi-Fi connectivity.
Preloaded with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit operating system, the new Revo 100 also boasts a TV tuner and Blu-ray super multi optical drive with the option of a DVD burner or Blu-ray combo drive.
According to Acer, when the Blu-ray combo option is connected to any 3D-enabled HDMI display, it offers full 1080p 3D playback.
The nearly £600-priced Acer Revo 100, which is currently being shipped in the UK, also features the RevoPad - a dual-mode wireless touchpad which can easily switch between a touch keyboard and a multi-gesture pad; essentially enabling users to move the cursor and browse, rotate and zoom when the switch is toggled.
