Mulberry wins BFA award for best designer brand

Mulberry won this year's British Fashion Award for Best Designer Brand on Tuesday. However, it owes one more of the year's BFA winners gratitude for its rising gains.

The luxury label declared today that its gains had swiftly increased by 38 percent this year, right from £32.3million in the year 2009 up to £44.7million this year, 2010.

The wholesale orders for the present season collection have been up cent per cent, and the orders for next year's upcoming spring 2011 collection have already been up a staggering 91 percent as compared to that of last year.

Alexa Chung is now fashion hit, spotted carrying various versions of the Mulberry 'Alexa' bag, which was the inspiration of a picture of her carrying a vintage briefcase.

The impressive figures come after last winter's release of the much successful and popular Alexa bag, which has been inspired by the television presenter Alexa Chung, who won this year's award for the BFA Style Icon gong.

Mulberry is swiftly becoming one of the most successful companies of UK, even though it is merely a leather briefcase company.
