Aggreko’s Shares Increased, Thanks to Encouraging Forecast

On Friday, Aggreko, a temporary power Company based in Glasgow, Scotland forecasted its yearly pre-tax profits to increase by 25%, thus reaching to £305 million, which is a little more than the £300m figure, it predicted in October.

Aggreko also expected its underlying growth of 11% in trading profit in the next year. The groups projected its yearly revenues to climb up by 20% to be around £1.22 billion in comparison to the previous year. On account of the Company's forecasts, its shares surged 27p or 1.79% to 1534p.

The fourth quarter has remained stronger for them, as told by Rupert Soames, Chief Executive of Aggreko. He added that the Company had shown good performance in territories such as North and South America, and Asia but the game was not easy in Europe.

He also threw light on the contracts that the Company had made with Bangladesh and Indonesia in the fourth quarter to provide electricity production capacity to them. The Company received ample of orders in the first half of the current year, the inflows from which are contributing to the revenues in the last quarter.

"We have excluded them from our calculation of underlying revenues and profit because there will be no events of comparable size in 2011", said Aggreko.
