Bank of America Corp, which is assumed to be a target of WikiLeaks, became the last American company to ban any kind of transactions that are intended for WikiLeaks. This statement was made by the bank.
The statement said further that they gave taken the decision based upon their reasonable belief that the activities that WikiLeaks indulges in and other things are not consistent with the internal policies of the bank related to the process of payments.
Followers have been asked by WikiLeaks to respond to the decision of the bank stating it through a tweet on Friday evening on Twitter that all people who want to enjoy freedom close their accounts at the Bank of America. It also said in another evening post, on Friday that people should keep their money in a safer account somewhere else.
MasterCard had to suffer the attacks of WikiLeaks followers and had to shut down its website for many hours. On Sunday no similar evidence was visible for website of Bank of America. One of the spokesmen of the bank declined any comment on the matter.
Julian Assange, the founder of WikiLeaks stated in this year that he has plans to release information on a major bank of the United States. According to analysts Assange meant the Bank of America as Julian Assange earlier stated that he had the 5G computer hard drive that belonged to one of the executives of Bank of America.
The bank has taken the decision of blocking all payments intended for WikiLeaks anticipating that the site might embarrass the industry of finance as it had done the American government earlier by leaking numbers of private diplomatic messages.
Firms like PayPal, MasterCard Visa Europe and other announced the same earlier.
