Despite the fact that the “Call of Duty: Black Ops” title is being deemed the biggest entertainment release of the year, the PlayStation edition of the game continues to be plagued by some issues that hamper the gaming experience of the console’s users.

To fix yet another issue affecting the PlayStation version of “Black Ops”, which has been developed by Treyarch, a new downloadable patch was released recently. The patch – update 1.05 - resolves some problems pertaining to reduced graphical quality and recurrent online connection issues that impede the gameplay.

Now available for download, the new update for the “Black Ops” PlayStation version aims at enhancing party reliability and UPnP functionality, along with enabling the capability to kick in party and private matches; and, thus, addressing a horde of online lobby concerns.

Announcing the release of the update, the creators of “Black Ops” also reiterated their commitment to correct all the issues affecting the game’s PlayStation version, saying: “Treyarch is dedicated to ensuring the best gaming experience for the fans, and we've been actively working with you to continue to improve the game based on your feedback. As always, keep the feedback coming through the community forums.”

Meanwhile, as per publisher Activision Blizzard, the “Black Ops” title is having an excellent run; and has joined the elite group of entertainment releases – having recently reached the enviable ‘$1-billion sales’ milestone; that too in barely six weeks of its release!
