Health Canada Recalls another Probiotic Health Product

The recall of a probiotic natural health product has been made as it was thought to have contained dairy, which is not mentioned on the label, as told by Health Canada.

Cultures de Yogourt 2 Milliards is produced by the company Bio-Dis Inc. and they it is termed as dairy-free product. However, it has been suspected to have exposed to dairy during its making.

Earlier, three other probiotic natural health products had also been recalled as they also believed to have dairy or soy protein contents unlike mentioned on the labels. These three products were Saccharomyces Boulardii manufactured by Advanced Orthomolecular Research Inc.; Herbasaurs Bifidophilus for Kids and Acidophilus Bifidobacterium and their makers are Nature's Sunshine Products of Canada Ltd.

“People with allergies to milk or soy can experience a range of mild to severe symptoms when exposed to even small amounts of milk or soy proteins”, says Health Canada. The illness associated with the consumption of these products shows symptoms such as breathing problems and it could also prove fatal in some cases.
