With Sir Elton John and his partner David become the proud parents to the surrogate son born in California, they join the elite personalities to become gay parents through surrogate mothers. The list already include singer Madonna who adopted the two surrogate kids along with others like the Sex And The City star Sarah Jessica Parker, Former cabinet Minister David Miliband, singer Ricky Martin and even the footballer Cristiano Ronaldo's whose baby came into this world through a surrogate mother.
There can be no bigger celebration time for the gay couples in UK and US with a gay couple, Tony and Barrie Drewitt-Barlow, from Danbury in Essex announcing the opening of a first of its kind surrogacy centre for gay couples The British Surrogacy Centre.
With the centre all set to be inaugurated in February 2011, the couple has described it as "a centre for all things surrogacy'. With its headquarters in Essex, the centre will have a chain branch in California as well.
The prime service of the centre will be to match the surrogates and egg donors for the UK and Europe couples with the US donors.
The owner couple is the proud parents of five kids in all and all were born through surrogacy.
Expressing happiness on the decision of Elton-David to go for a surrogate mother, the couple said that it will greatly help the gay parenting cause.
