Verdict announced for farce nurse in US

Betty Lichtenstein, aged 57 years, who belonged to the city of Danbury, celebrated her award of "Nurse of the Year" by hosting a dinner party.

But the stars of the lady turned around when she was investigated and found without any license or certification for being a professional nurse.

The case started when she worked for Dr. Gerald Weiss in 2009 and the doctor lodged a complaint against her to the Connecticut Department of Health that she is totally unprofessional in her behavior and actions. It was then that the probe started and it was revealed that the lady never had a license to practice nursing.

All through her farce career, she did all the jobs like giving injections, prescriptions and medical advice to the patients; which has been recognized as a major offence by the court.

The doctor said that he employed the nurse by having a look at her "Nurse of the Year" award which she got in 2008 from "Connecticut Nursing Association".

But it was all shocks for the doctor when it was found that no such association actually exists.

As if this was not enough, the lady also added another crime to her list by getting herself the restricted narcotics medicines through the blank prescriptions she stole from the doctor's clinic, confirmed the Chief State's Attorney's office.

The verdict is out and the lady is now behind the bars for 9 months.
