New Brunswick is facing the major troubles with its health systems sinking deep into the waters of millions but still producing no desirable results.
The expenditure being incurred on the health system of the city is rising at an alarming rate and is soon going to be unaffordable by the government, as per the sources.
Stéphane Robichaud, CEO of the New Brunswick Health Council expresses his worries saying that the present system is not going to work for long time as it is simply boring no fruits.
With the expenditure increasing at around 7% annually, it has reached to $3 billion by 2009 which is more than double as compared to just about $1.3 billion in 1997, as per the Health Council sustainability report.
The gravity of the situation can be estimated by the fact that it is bound to rise to $4.1 billion by 2014, as per the predictions.
With the speculations are that the numbers will reach to worrying $8 billion by 2030, the authorities are finding it hard to find an answer to this question.
With the 40% budget of the city going in the treasures of health system, the CEO is holding the regular meetings to find a sustainable solution of the proceeding danger.
"The people in that room were shocked by the challenge ahead of us. Most people just don't appreciate it." he said after a meeting.
