Now 3-D marketing

PepsiCo, Procter and Gamble are using DreamWorks Animation for utilizing the technology in revolutionizing their marketing strategy.

Pepsi will air 3-D ads for SoBe Lifewater in collaboration with DreamWorks.  DreamWorks  is also planning a 3-D movie, Monsters vs. Aliens.

PepsiCo is distributing 3-D glasses via more than 25,000 grocery, drug and mass retail stores. In fact it has already distributed about 130 million of these glasses. Intel is the provider of 3-D technology for both the movie and the ads. The company is also sponsoring the glasses. 

Procter & Gamble is hosting with a 3-D website for Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal.

The site shows close-ups of whitening-strip wearers kissing at KissMeIn3D.com. Heath Rudduck, executive creative director for Crest digital agency Digitas, "No one really enjoys kissing in 2-D."

DreamWorks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg says that this is just the tip of iceberg. 3-D technology will be used in movie screens, TVs, laptops and handheld devices in the coming days.
