Muse frontman Matt Bellamy recently announced the likelihood of what apparently sounds like a rather ambitious plan - the possibility of the band coming up with the first ever performance in space!
Revealing that "real" discussions have been going on within the band about playing a gig in space, Bellamy said that, thanks to the advancements in technology, Devon trio might take a shot at performing a show in orbit some day in the future.
Talking to Sun about the band's ambitious aspiration to perform in space, Bellamy said: "We've had some discussions about playing in space. Sometimes very coherent conversations and sometimes very late at night, but it's for real."
Bellamy further added that despite the fact that the trio had not yet commenced any astronaut training as yet, they certainly are deliberating on plans to get the gig off the ground one day.
Bellamy said that he is also considering the option of approaching Virgin Galactic's Richard Branson is to check out if the Muse band can perform on his spacecraft. According to Bellamy, a gig in space will be a notably scaled back one.
Adding that it is quite likely that a performance in space will happen in the future, Bellamy said: "I'm sure it will happen in my lifetime. We'd love to be part of that."
