The advent of a new year means the launch of new projects by Companies. Not leaving a stone unturned, Research in Motion has announced its intentions to release a new version of the famous Blackberry.
The new RIM product has been named as BlackBerry Curve and is being aimed at vowing its real executive customers. It will be based on the new application operating system known as the BlackBerry 6.1.

E-mails and the BlackBerry Messenger is also a key ingredient of the phone. Though, the past year has seen some new competitors in the fray for achieving the top spot in business phones.
Devices like the iPhone and a few others running on the Android operating system by Google have given board members at RIM sleepless nights. However, another recent product by RIM has provided tough competition as well. The newly launched Dakota, which is created on leaked products, has provided enthusiasts with nostalgia of classic BlackBerry.
Meanwhile, the former Strategist for BlackBerry, Ted Livingston, is now heading Kik, as its Chief Executive Officer. Talking about Dakota, he informs that the Dakota looks like it can be popular and that it looks good.
The Dakota will come with a 5-megapixel camera, a magnetometer, accelerometer and 768MB of RAM.
