Jonathan Ross builds hype for Nintendo 3DS by discussing it on Twitter

The popular micro-blogging site Twitter is apparently contributing its bit in building hype for the forthcoming Nintendo 3DS, with UK television star and Twitter powerhouse Jonathan Ross ardently tweeting about the device.

In a recent Twitter revelation, Ross - who has more than 825,000 followers - said that Nintendo has invited him "to host a conference next week that gives out info on the 3DS." Ross also added that he had "tried it (the 3DS) yesterday!"

About the 3DS capability, Ross tweeted that "the 3D is far better than I would have thought possible without glasses. Can be switched to regular 2D!" Further adding that he had only tried an "unfinished prototype" of the device which boasts "a couple of very cool new features," Ross said: "Think it's because the screen is small that it can be done effectively without need for glasses."

With Ross also mentioning that the conference that he has been invited to host will be held on Wednesday afternoon in Amsterdam, there are speculations galore that he is apparently referring to the official announcement of the 3DS for Europe.

Meanwhile, it is interesting to note that Ross' excited tweeting about the Nintendo 3DS and its potential comes barely a week after the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) announced that it intends taking a closer look at celebrity product endorsements on the social network.
