Vancouver Is Facing Problems with Deadly Heroin Circulations

Recently 2 drug victims were found lying dead in a street in the city of Vancouver. One was a 19-year-old girl and the other was a 26-year-old girl. They are supposed to have died of heroin overdoses. Another man was found with fatal side effects of heroin injection.

The city police department have made an alert for the drug users about the potential threats by heroin circulations in the city. They are warning the drug users to follow cautions and use the services of INSITE, the Supervised Injection Centre when there is a problem.

Const. Lindsey Houghton said, "It's a heroin that's potentially deadly. Either it's cut with an unknown substance or of such purity that it's potentially more deadly than usual."

The body of the 26-year-old was found near Petro Canada gas station on Kingsway and Nanaimo Street on Thursday evening. The next night the body of an 18-year-old was found inside a building just 1 block away on Kingsway.

Mr. Houghton said that the Department is yet to receive toxicology reports of the cases. However, the available evidences strongly support the overdosing of heroin in the 2 victims.

The man who was injured by heroin injection has suffered serious threat by the side effects. The Department advised that the drug users should seek medical assistance immediately if they have any problem.
