Fired Nurse Moves to Court against the Ocoee Hospital

A male nurse, who was dismissed from Health Central, has filed a law suit against the Ocoee hospital. The man in question is David M. Rothenberg, who was fired for looking at the medical records of Tiger Woods.

In the legal action taken by the nurse, he has asked for a compensation amounting to $400,000. Apart from that, he has also asked for the reinstatement of his job and a letter issued by administrators, informing all the employees that Rothenberg was fired on the grounds of circumstantial evidence in December 2009.

Another staff member known as Dr. Dab Nguyen was fired from the facility as well. Though, a review carried out by the Unemployment Appeals Commission granted Dr. Nguyen his unemployment benefits, as he was legally allowed to view the records and had not divulged information regarding Woods to anyone.

Rothenberg has further informed that he never accessed the records and that somebody else might have used his access id to view Woods’ records. The man had been working at the facility, since the past 26-years.

Meanwhile, the Attorney for Rothenberg, Michael Gort, informed that his client just wanted to make sure that his name is not blacklisted for a crime he never committed.
