Electronic Arts announces Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1943

It’s good news for the gamers who were eagerly watching EA and DICE for new releases. Electronic Arts (EA) and Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (DICE), on Thursday, announced two new games, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Battlefield 1943.

Sequel to last year’s Battlefield: Bad Company, the Battlefield: Bad Company 2 promises greater amusement, more intense experience, and more destructible environments. The players, in the Bad Company 2, will use same weapons and vehicles in order to survive. Available for the PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the Bad Company 2 will be powered by Frostbite tech, like its predecessor.

Executive producer Karl Magnus Troedsson said, "Bad Company 2 takes everything that players liked in the original and ups the ante -- more vehicles, more destruction, and more team play.”

Battlefield 1943 is set in the atmosphere of 1943 World War II. It will be published for Microsoft Windows, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Store. The game will be downloadable multiplayer-only title, like Battlefield Heroes. Battlefield 1943 will feature multiplayer modes for up to 24 players, and the battles will be staged at three classic Battlefield locations: Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima.
