Google adds “Multiple Inboxes” to Gmail
Google

Google is always striving to tone up its services. On Thursday, Google launched a new feature in Gmail Labs that can help to simultaneously view multiple panes in Gmail without opening another browser window.

"Multiple inboxes," the new feature in Gmail Labs, is Google's a new tool for Gmail. It helps to create different inboxes within one account, and to see all of them at once. It should not be confused with "accessing multiple email accounts in one Gmail window".

Multiple inboxes lets a user create panels for each of those labels, and view all of them in one window. It's a great tool to filter and monitor messages, if a user is getting a lot of emails. It could be a great help in separating personal emails from rest.

According to Google, to enable the feature, a user should activate Gmail Labs for his/her account and then enable "Multiple Inboxes" from the list of Labs options. And for setting up panes, a user should go to the Gmail Settings menu and select "Multiple Inboxes". Doing so, a user can create up to five different panes.
