According to the most recent projection from Expansys, the attractively-designed Dell Venue Pro smartphone is apparently on track to finally hit the UK markets in five days, after a series of delays.
The forthcoming Dell Venus Pro is a well-built and smooth-running Windows Phone 7 (WP7)-based portrait slider handset, powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. The device boasts an extra-large 4.1-inch AMOLED touch screen with a WVGA (480x800) resolution; a full QWERTY keyboard; a Micro-USB port, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, and GPS.
With the 3.5-millimeter headphone jack and power button located on top, the large-sized Venue Pro come packaged with a USB cable, an AC adapter, a wired stereo headset, and reference material.
The Dell Venue Pro - which was one of the eye-catching WP7 handsets to be unveiled at the WP7 launch event in October last year, is a quad-band world phone, which offers some compelling features like a speakerphone, call waiting, call forwarding, conference calling, voice dialing, and text and multimedia messaging.
The Dell Venue Pro is available in the US with T-Mobile, but is only sold through Dell. The reasonably-priced handset costs $99.99 for the 8GB model with a two-year contract; and $149.99 for the 16GB version with a two-year contract.
