However, the internet portal has decided to change its look completely and brought about the alterations this past day. The Results? Well, for beginners people were not exactly happy about the new avatar.

Apparently, the very people who help in Meetup running online and pay lots of money for membership have aired their concerns regarding the changes. It needs to be pointed out here that, maybe the organization should have consulted the users before thinking about smartly changing things.

People have already started posting tweets about their angst towards the management of Meetup.

There are many other alternatives to Meetup, like GroupSpaces and BigTent. It needs to be remembered that BigSpaces had successfully raised a whopping $1.30million last year, after angel investors like Dave McClure and Chris Sacca found the venture to investment worthy.

Meanwhile, users for Meetup have also raised eyebrows regarding the internet portals decision to close discussion pages that have been talking and criticizing about the latest changes. Apart from that a page titled as ‘Mark Zuckerberg, help! Please crate Meetup event functionality on FB’ has been setup as well.

It seems that organizers have already started to contemplate to change their users and are currently looking to head towards alternative portals.
