Google’s First Tablet-Optimized OS

Google is due to release its tablet-optimized OS, the Android Honeycomb on February 2, at its Mountain View headquarters. Google would be holding a press event to show off its new invention.

And all those who wish to have an in-depth look at Honeycomb, Android ecosystem news and hands-on demos, are invited to be a part of the big event. The event is named as ‘A Taste of What’s New from Android’, by the search giant.

The stage presentations are due to begin sharp at 10:00 a.m. PT. this event too would be streamed live atYouTube.com/Android. In an attempt to share the Android love with the rest of the world, Google has already sent invitations and it has reportedly reached all inboxes.

The first one with the tablet form factor, Honeycomb, Android 3.0, is believed to be Google’s first OS. Featuring a revamped interface, faster plane switching, deeper multimedia integration and a slew of redesigned Android applications, some of its other features are yet unannounced.

Some demo videos too have been put up for all those who can’t wait to get more of it. As per sources that happened to sneak and play with the Android Honeycomb during our Motorola Xoom demo, Google this time is sure to come up with something good at hand.
