Apple offers mobile applications for iPhone and iPod Touch through the App Store; Google Android has its own mobile application store; and now, Nokia is planning to launch its mobile application store; that’s the market reports say.
According to the reports, Nokia is planning to launch its own mobile app store at the Mobile World Congress. In a blog, the editor of Mobile-review.com Eldar Murtazin wrote, “Nokia is planning to announce its own App Store-alike at this year’s MWC which is now just over a week away.”
Nokia has not made any official statement on its mobile application store, yet it makes a lot of sense, when the report is about the largest mobile phone maker.
Nokia definitely needs its own mobile application store, like Apple and Google. Nokia’s mobile application store could be a great platform for users of Symbian powered mobile devices.
