The Alaska’s Mount Redoubt volcano was puffing out steam on Sunday, which made the Geologists at the Alaska Volcano Observatory issue the “warning” that the volcano could erupt at any time.
Geologists reported that on Saturday, they first spotted a steam plume rising from above the 7,000-foot level near a dome that formed after the last Redoubt eruption in 1990.
According to Marianne Guffanti, Geologist at the Alaska Volcano Observatory, on Sunday the seismic activity increased at the volcano and there were tremors in various intensities.
Geologists reported that they collected the samples of the gas that is coming out from the mountain, to check the signs of an eruption. They explained that Magma moving up the mountain has warmed rock and created an opening in the earth that emits gases and steam.
