It’s been reported by Amazon that it will make its Kindle books available on several mobile phones in the near future. However, the Seattle, Washington based company did not make it clear whether it will fetch all its Kindle titles to mobile phones or just the selected ones of them; the Kindle Store currently offers 230,000 e-books for sale.
Spokesman of Amazon, Drew Herdener stated that the company is working to make Kindle books available "on a range of mobile phones."
Now, the mobile users are excited about Amazon’s newly announced service, but the users of Apple iPhone are anxious to know whether Amazon’s kindle titles will be available on their mobile phones.
Michael Gartenberg, analyst and Mobile Devices Today blogger, said, “It’s a smart move on Amazon’s part. They absolutely should look at devices like the iPhone and the G1 as complimentary to the stuff they’re doing with the dedicated Kindle.”
Amazon that has yet specified which mobile phones will be able access its service, is expected to reveal a lot of things about its new service at today’s press conference at the Morgan Library and Museum in New York. The company is also expected to unveil its Kindle 2 at the press conference.
