Instagram CEO Statement: A Product With Best Features Wins The World

Instagram is a hot social photo app. This week, it raised $7 million.  Part II of video of Chris Dixon's Founder Stories discussion with CEO of Instagram, Kevin Systrom is a worth watching video if one wants to get knowledge of how best products are conceived and manufactured. The reason behind changing the product wholly prior to its launch and pressure that prevailed when servers collapsed is discussed in Part 1 of the video.

In today’s video CEO OF Instagram explained that the major strategy that they follow is to manufacture the product with best features. Though, critics might regard Instagram as one having few features. He said that often features work out on particular problems. He is of the view that if one can find solution to problems better than others that it’s a sign of a good start.

Instagram focused on solving three major problems that are: making photos interesting, speedy updation of photos and sending a photo to the desired number of social networking sites.

Systrom also talked about the fact that many Companies like Path and PicPlz are providing service of photo apps but major concern, ,which will make them successful is to induce community of users because on an average every user is posting four photos every second.

Instagram is making things available visually so that even people with diverse languages can communicate with each other.

In end Dixon and Systrom said that it’s tough to be an entrepreneur in big Companies. But success of a social entrepreneur depends on creative strategies and not on whether one is an engineer or not.
