NBC’s ‘ America ’s Got Talent’ To Be Hosted By Nick Cannon

Actor / singer Nick Cannon, will take over NBC's 'America's Got Talent', it's top performing summer series later this year, and at 28, the 'entertainer/producer and comedian', is a whole lot younger than the show's previous hosts, taking over from Jerry Springer, 65, who in turn took over from Regis Philbin.

Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff and Piers Morgan will continue to judge on the show.

Ben Silverman, NBC co-chairman says hosting is just one of 'multiple projects', his network wishes Cannon to be a part of, either in front of or behind the camera.

Apart from starring in 'Drumline', 'Roll Bounce' and 'The Killing Room', which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last month, Cannon also made headlines with his whirlwind romance and marriage to Mariah Carey, last year. As well, he hosted Teen Choice Awards 2008 and 'Wild 'N Out' for MTV.
