Box Office No. 1 ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’

Films that made Box-Office Top Five are as under:

1.    He's Just Not That Into You - $27.5 million.
2.    Taken - $20.3 million.
3.    Coraline - $16.3 million.
4.    The Pink Panther 2 - $12 million.
5.    Paul Blart: Mall Cop - $11 million.

Exceeding studio expectation, female audiences flocked to theatres for the romantic comedy to find out exactly why guys weren't into Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore or Jennifer Connelly.

However, it wasn't just a week-end for girls, as Liam Neeson's 'Taken', based on a best-selling book inspired by 'Sex and the City', pushed the kidnap thriller into second place, despite falling one pace, earning another $20.3-million, with a total of $53.4-million.

'Coraline', the eerie animated adventure landed at No. 3, also exceeding expectations with $16.3 million. The first 3-D stop-motion film, the fact there aren't too many 3-D theatres could have seen it suffer a little at the box office.

Steve Martin's much derided follow-up to his Pink Panther re-make was the fourth most watched film, and while 'The Pink Panther 2' paled at $12-million, it was enough for it rank among the Top Five. Even the superpowers couldn't push 'Push', about a 14-year-old clairvoyant on the run from a secret organisation, as the film opened at No. 6 with $10.2-million.

There was a blink-and-you-miss-it opening for the long-delayed 'Fanboys', opening at only 44-locations and grossing of $164,000.
