Twitter Festival Scheduled for March 24

Amanda Rose is said to have developed flu-like symptoms and was seen to be trying to make up for the loss of time and health. Looking through the non-profit applications from around the globe and setting up calls with her likewise international team she was working hard to organize the Twestival Local, an international ‘Twitter festival’.

This ‘Twitter festival’, which began in the year 2009 is said to make use of social media for social good by connecting communities on a single day to support the local causes. For this year this Twestival event is scheduled for March 24.  “I can’t be sick for a week. It would just put me back too much”, Rose asserted.

In an attempt to create offline change by an influence from online tools, the Twestival takes place on a single day. The event is said to alternate with Local, where those communities pair up with local charities and non-profits and Global, where the communities help one cause.
However this year the local volunteers are likely to select a charity with a social media presence and put forth an event to raise funds and awareness.

For almost 2 years Rose is said to have reviewed submissions, spread the word, vetted charities and coordinated press and follow-ups. And this is perhaps the first time that she is involving the staff to assist her in the rapidly expanding charity event.
