Going by at its announcement at the Mobile World Congress (MWC), Toshiba intends bringing out another tablet - the ingeniously named Tablet - aimed at the UK market this year.
The release date of the new Toshiba tablet is yet to be announced, but there are speculations galore that it will be around the third quarter.
Some of the notable features of the Toshiba Tablet include a 10-inch touchscreen with 1280 x 800 resolution; a dual-core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor; light sensors; an HDMI port; an accelerometer; and two cameras - a front camera to facilitate video chatting, and a rear camera foe clicking pictures and videos.
The Tablet will also feature a full-scale USB port, implying that flash drives and keyboards will apparently work with the device. This feature will give a leading edge to the Tablet, as compared to the Apple iPad as well as a horde of Android 3.0 tablets that will hit the markets this year.
In addition, the Tablet - which will also have an SD card slot for adding more storage, and for downloading pictures from a camera - will likely be available in two versions - a WiFi-only version and a WiFi + 3G version.
As per the details shared by Toshiba spokesman Graeme Simons, the 3G-capable version of the Tablet will be released 2-6 weeks after the launch of the WiFi-only model.
