Prostate cancer

A cancer survivor and activist, Alan Bodner, has taken up a campaign to raise awareness about prostate cancer. Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among men and the second most deadly, killing 30,000 men a year in the United States.

He has launched one program from his office in Hackensack, N. J. and has saved more than 1,000 lives.

He has taken up another program at Bergen County Harley-Davidson showroom in Rochelle Park, N. J. It was started in February 2008 and will be held for the fourth time on Saturday. The program was earlier named "Gentlemen, Check Your Engines" which has been changed to "Ladies and Gentlemen, Check Your Engines”.

He believes that guys think themselves as machines and machines need to be turned up and checked out.

He has recently started another program named "I'll Go, If You Go”. This program has been started to motivate couples. It will motivate wives to get mammograms and husbands to get PSA tests.
