Motorola Atrix 4G now launching on February 22

According to reports, Motorola is likely move forward the launch of its Android-based Atrix 4G smartphone - which was one of the most compelling devices showcased at the January Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas - by one week.

Fully detailing the Motorola Atrix nearly ten days back, AT&T had announced that it will start taking preorders for the superphone from February 13, with the handset to hit the markets on March 6.

However, now its appears that Motorola has made some changes to the release schedule of the Atrix - with a recent notification supposedly sent to AT&T customer service reps indicating that the handset will actually be launched on Tuesday, February 22.

Despite the fact that the forthcoming Motorola Atrix 4G, from AT&T, looks fairly akin to other standard Android handsets, the device boasts some attractive 'under the hood' changes that will give it a leading edge.

The Atrix will apparently be the fastest and the most versatile Android-based handset on the market; with its blazingly fast speed notably enhancing the movement through the apps. In addition, the handset features a fingerprint scanner on its back which enables users to securely lock their phone.

The device will be priced at $200 standalone; but users will have to shell out $500 for both the phone and a laptop dock - thereby making the handset a shade too expensive for the average consumer.
