The President of AOL Media and Studios, David Eun, has decided to resign from his post in near future.
Although, not stated directly, the company’s decision to buy news hub Huffington Post is strongly speculated to be the reason behind his resignation from his post, as Mr. Eun has repeatedly cropped up this issue in his last e-mail to his colleagues and his staff.
Quite sincere and dedicated towards his work, Mr. Eun was described by his colleagues as someone, who never interfered with the working of staff at Tech Crunch.
In his mail to his team, David Eun stated that with the historic acquisition of The Huffington Post, he is unsure of his responsibilities as the President of the company.
He asserted that although he tried to sort out the germinating differences with AOL CEO Tim Armstrong, but all in vain. As a result, he has decided to scale back from his designation.
Commending the efforts of his team, David listed all the hard-work done by him for taking the company to where it stands now.
The mail concluded with David wishing luck to everyone in their life and mentioning his availability throughout the integration planning process.
The deal to buy Huffington Post will cost the company whopping $315 million.
