This will take place in this week in Austin and several experts in the industry will praise and pick – at the latest electric cars which will be on display. The Consumer Reports are known to have put the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf under the test. According to the tests made by the Consumer Reports the Chevy Volt and the Nissan Leaf are known to have shown promise as well as few drawbacks. There are limited models of the Chevy Volt that are available to the customers. It was known by some source that when Eddie Luvic took a look at the electric car he decided to take it home. Luvic in a statement said that he saw the Volt model on the floor in a showroom and checked it over. Then he took the decision that he was going to buy it.
The Consumer Reports did conduct an Auto test where several testers took a look at the Volt and tested it out. The Chevy Volt has an additional gasoline engine that acts as a backup engine. The Nissan Leaf on the other hand is fully i. e. cent per cent electric. However many experts are considering another issue which might act as a drawback is the range of the electric car. In other words how much distance the electric vehicle can travel on a charge. Another drawback that the testers have figured out is that the electric vehicle has a problem pertaining to cold weather. Jack Fisher who is associated with the Consumer Reports said that the Nissan Leaf can travel up to a distance of about 100 miles on a charge. But this range of the car is under ideal conditions. He further mentioned that the cold weather may reduce the range of the vehicle to about 65 miles.
