According to the Portland District Health Board, it is ready to welcome the independent review of the Health Minister David Davis. At the same time, they will extend their helping hands in order to co-operate this health review.
The initiative of this review was taken to find out the present health care services, health management policies as well as the financial position of the hospitals and other health centers.
Talking on that topic, the Chairman of the Portland District Health Board, Andrew Govanstone, said that the Health Minister is having every right to conduct this kind of review any time as it involves public interest.
He also added that he has some positive hopes about this review and it will be helpful to improve healthcare services. At the same time, this review can emphasizes on the management policies of various hospital.
According to the South West Coast MP Denis Napthine, it is very good decision by the Health Ministry and this review will help the authority to come across several issues related to hospital management policies which are being neglected for past so many years. With the rise in population, Portland needs more improved hospitals to fulfill all necessary requirements.
