Entries Open for ‘Race for Life’ at Edinburgh

The ‘Race for Life’ is all set to be held on June 19, at Edinburgh. The event raises funds for charity and is described as a celebration of sisterhood and pride. People from all walk of life come together and show support for cancer patients.

“Race for Life is the largest fund raising event of the country for women. Women of all ages walk run or jog for few kilometres to help the women suffering from all types of cancer”.

Many women take part in the event regularly and come with new faces next time to save more lives. The organizers are encouraging the women to participate in the event which is for a noble cause. The funds raised from the event directly goes to the cancer research.

Previous year, nearly 7000 participated in the event to help the Cancer Research UK and raised £500,000. The Cancer Research UK supports and encourages the work of doctors, nurses and scientists who are dedicated towards the investigation of prevention methods, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
