Scarborough police is currently on the lookout for a man involved in an armed robbery at a Doubleview pharmacy yesterday.
The man entered the Wheelers Pharmacy Store on Scarborough Beach Road yesterday night with a machete. He used the weapon for the armed robbery and took away a pseudoephedrine based medication at about 8:30pm.
According to the report filed, the man has been described with a height of about 170-180cm and is aged somewhere in the mid-20s. The suspect had a soft-spoken Australian accent. He was last seen wearing a white hooded jumper with a triangular motif, dark sunglasses and black pants.
Cops have been alerted and are on the lookout for the suspect.
According to law enforcement officials, the man had left the store with a number of items and had threatened staff members with the machete. The thief did not rob the store of any money.
