Salma Hayek’s Valentine Day Wedding in Paris

Salma Hayek, the Mexican born actress could not have picked a more romantic time and place to get marry French magnate Francois-Henri Pinault i. e. Valentine's Day in Paris. Speaking on the condition of anonymity in accordance with policy, Mayor Jean-Pierre Lecoq confirmed to Agence France-Presse, the two were married in a civil ceremony Saturday at the City Hall in Paris ' chic 6th arrondissement, in a wedding that was a small affair.

While, Cari Ross, Hayek's spokeswoman, confirmed via e-mail Monday that the marriage had indeed taken place, no further details about the nuptials were provided.

Hayek met the French billionaire in Italy in 2006. She became pregnant, they announced their engagement, had the baby, a little girl they named Valentina Paloma, in September 2007. But, in the way of all rocky romances, they broke off their engagement last year, only to reconcile a few months later.

Nominated for an Oscar for 2003 film 'Frida', painter Frida Kahlo's biography, which she produced and starred in, Hayek, 42, is also an executive producer of American hit series 'Ugly Betty', including the chief executive of Ventanazul, the production company she formed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.

As for Pinault, 46, he is chief executive of the French luxury and retail group PPR SA that owns high-end labels like Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Puma.

The first marriage for Hayek, Pinault has two children from a previous marriage that ended in 2004.
