An Exclusive Movie Night for Autistic Children

AMC Theatres and Geneva Centre for Autism have come together to offer an exclusive movie night for autistic children and their families. The special night and screening of the Sensory Friendly Film will be held at AMC Whitby 24 on March 12, at 10 a. m. the tickets of the move will be available on the same day of the event. The movie is made sensory friendly because these kids have sensory issues, they have problems with handling loud noise and they may face problems in the dark.

The audiences of the film will be provided with casein-free snacks during the movie. They are even allowed to bring their own snacks. To make the audience feel comfortable and safe the lights are brought up and the sound is turned down.

The audience is free to stand up and dance, walk, shout or even sing during the movie. There would be no previews or advertisements before the movie because waiting would be difficult for the people with autism.
