With the official March 11 date of release of the iOS 4.3 just round the corner, it is being widely assumed that most of the users of the iOS devices – the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad – will turn to iTunes for Apple’s updated operating system.
Even though the forthcoming iOS 4.3 update will cosmetically not boast any substantial changes over iOS 4.2, a Mashable report has recently revealed that some of the big features of the updated OS will be the introduction of the mobile hotspot for carriers other than Verizon, and iTunes Home Sharing.
The Home Sharing feature will facilitate the accessing of content from a Mac or PC, by enabling users to stream their iTunes library – including music, videos, podcasts, and audiobooks - from a computer to any iOS 4.3 device over a home Wi-Fi network.
To put it differently, it will be a real treat for users of iOS 4.3 devices to watch movies bought in iTunes or to listen to playlists or browse downloaded podcasts from an iOS device over a local network.
In addition, despite the fact that the iOS 4.3 will essentially be an evolutionary release, diehard iOS fans will surely appreciate the upgrades and enhancements that the updated iOS will include, particularly those pertaining to the web browser – more so as the new Nitro JavaScript Engine will, as per Apple claims, allow the Safari Web browser to run Java two-fold faster than before.
