The Crawley-based airline, Virgin Atlantic is creating a new route between Manchester and Las Vegas. The airline is also increasing London departures to the Caribbean and Ghana. It has also planned to launch a new fleet of 10 Airbus A330 aircraft in the coming next years.
The new plans of the Virgin Atlantic are expected to create 450 new jobs. The new jobs will include 350 cabin staff and 50 pilots and would be based at Gatwick airport. The launch of new Manchester to Las Vegas route will create 100 crew jobs in the Manchester area.
The new cabin crew staff will support the additional weekly flights from London to Ghana, Tobago, Grenada and Havana.
The Director of Operations, Safety and Security for Virgin Atlantic, Corneel Koster said that they have undergone the recovery phase and now the organization is expanding its network and services.
The Airline giant Virgin Atlantic had announced 200 jobs in November for its new contact centre in Swansea.
