According to reports, it was revealed that Lawson Software has finally disclosed that it has got $1.8 billion from a bid by Infor Global Solutions and Golden Gate Capital. This deal was made to acquire all the stock at $11.25 each.
The market report states that the share value of the software company was closed on Friday at $11.55. The stock value of the firm rose by 18 percent since last Tuesday. This has been reported by Reuters that the company had Barclays Capital to expand the business.
The offer which Infor and Global Gate Capital made would be equivalent to $1.8 billion for Lawson.
Lawson reported that it is having negotiations with Infor and Golden Gate. However, no agreement has been yet finalized.
The company also told the press that it would not comment on anything further till the discussion would reach a certain stage and an agreement would be finalized, the discussion is terminated or the board of directors would come up to some conclusions regarding the discussions.
On the other hand the officials of Golden Gate and Infor were not found for immediate comment on this topic.
Reuters also claim that there might be a big list of bidders including Infor, HP, IBM, Microsoft Corp, Oracle Corp, and SAP.
