More of Celebrities under the Trauma of Sex Addiction

According to a media report, the American Psychiatric Association very soon is setting up to announce sex addiction as a psychiatric disorder.

Yes, experts after discussing “addiction” for inclusion in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders formally recognizes it to be a relentless sexual urge that could be a cause of mental chaos.

This manual is considered to be a classic guide to what comprises a genuine psychological disorder.

What made such a condition highly publicized was Tiger Woods and Russell Brand getting the same condition treated. When celebrities come into the picture a common aspect automatically gets highlighted. Tiger Woods admitted cheating his wife with a string of different women, and thereafter in 2010 also got his addiction towards the sex urge treated.

Russell Brand, the famous golf player underwent a six-week intensive program at the Pine Grove clinic in Mississippi. This centre is known for treating sexual anorexia, sexual addiction and sexual trauma.

In regard to this, the UK's health service is planning to start a preliminary project for sex addiction treatment, which according to experts would spark a boom in drug companies dealing with re-packaging of anti-depressants and sex-drive-suppressants.
