Veterinary Deal Called Off By Sanofi, Merck

The medical giants Sanofi- Aventis and Merck have withdrawn their support from the animal health powerhouse scheme. This is due to the powers of regulation. This move has come as a major setback to the plans made by the companies for the animal care industry. This decision has come after a long delay in the incorporation of the scheme since six months.

The revelation shall also hamper the companies which were of the hope of shatter the assets to a huge $500 million. This would have been an amount of the annual revenue.

It was a plan made by the two medical giants for the combination of vaccines and drugs and to do a joint venture with a huge share of the entire market. If the deal would have been successfully cracked, it would have come as a huge support to the animal care industry.

Anyway, the call off of the deal has come as an unpleasant shock to many who had high hopes from the deal. The reason for this breaking up of alliance is known as the tight regulatory barriers that were hampering the independence and the progress of the two firms.
