A recent research conducted at the at Northwest University and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champagne has revealed that women have more romantic regrets as compared to their male counterparts.
The study was conducted on 370 adults who were asked to describe one of their regret in detail. The survey was conducted telephonically. The findings also revealed that most of the men had work-oriented regrets as compared to women. Nearly 34% of men had work-oriented regrets whereas only 27% of female expressed the same.
The study found that 44% of the female expressed about their romantic regrets whereas only 19% men had romantic regrets.
After romantic regrets, the second-most regretted factor was family issues. Some people also regretted about not going to college or not divorcing sooner, or choosing money over a passion.
The study also found that Individuals who were not a relationship were most likely to have romance regrets. People who have low levels of education were likely to regret about lack of education. People who had high levels of education regretted about their career and work.
