IMAX CEO Says, China Might Become the Largest Shareholder in the Market

According to the CEO of the multiplex giant IMAX, china is sure going to take over as the world’s biggest market. It is already the world’s most populated country. With the recession in America and the tragic affairs in Japan, who knows it might just turn out to be true.

China is the fastest growing market and it is just a matter of time before it drops its reputation of being able to make a cheap duplicate of every product and become one of the leading providers for the world.

“More than half of our revenue comes from the U.S., but we do think it’s likely China will overtake the U.S. as the biggest market at some point in the future”, said Richard Gelfond, the CEO of Imax. He was of the view that the market is full of shocks and surprises.

He said China is ready to face all of them in order to reach the top of the line. There is enormous potential seen in countries like Russia and India as well. With the firm expanding its business manifold, there is all the possibility, China might come to the top.
