The issue revolving around the Asia’s biggest casino company has been resolved. The solution for the problem was found by Billionaire Stanley Ho. He gave up most of his stake in the parent of SJM Holdings Ltd. (880). This dispute had caused a lot of emotional problems for him as few of his children had been the reason of the lawsuit.
The mother of the youngest five children of Stanley Ho will get 6% of SJM’s parent Sociedade de Turismo e Diversoes de Macau SA. Angela Leong is also the managing director. She has benefited the most from the lawsuit as her part of the stake has increased. The other family members will get 25.538%.
The lawsuit has benefited the SJM Holdings Ltd. (880) as they rose the highest in the Hong Kong markets today.
The dispute had started in December when Stanley Ho transferred 7.7% of his stake in SJM to Angela Leong. This is when his third wife, Chan Un-chan and children Pansy, Daisy, Maisy, Josie and Lawrence started to manage the Lanceford Co. The biggest stake in the STDM is held by the Lanceford Co.
Stanley Ho has sixteen children from four women. He will now have 0.117% in the parent.
