Pam Bondi Announced the Settlement with Marshall C. Watson Firm

The Law firms were investigated by the state authorities after major lenders, but the law offices of Marshall C. Watson were among the prominent firms investigated. The company was claimed that the submitted foreclosure reports by them were false, inaccurate and misleading.

Despite of the investigations of various states, federal regulators conducted an assessment of national banks.

According to the Florida Attorney General’s Office, in spite of the forging of the document in the Marshall C. Watson case, homeowners complained about robo-signing and notary issues. They said that foreclosure notices were not served properly.

Obama Administration is working with the Attorneys General from 50 states to negotiate a broader settlement with the mortgage industry.

The Florida Attorney General, Pam Bondi has announced a settlement with Marshall C. Watson and his firm.

Marshall C. Watson, President and Chief Executive of Firm, said that with the help of the firm they are setting a high bar for the mortgage law provider industry, and even clients are familiar with the positive steps they are taking. He added that he is satisfied with the settlement.

Half of the money paid by the Marshall Watson will go to Florida Attorney General’s Office and the other half will go to the non- profit organizations. The settlement also needs the firm to prepare the paperwork of the foreclosure report.
