There is a brewing war between the owners of the browsers mainly Google Chrome, Microsoft Internet Explorer 9, and Mozilla Firefox 4.
As per the Mozilla's noisiest hominid, Asa Dotzler, Firefox 4 is leading the chart with 5% of the Web browser global usage share followed by 1.5% share of two-week old internet Explorer 9(IE 9).
Some keen observers have notified a paltry dip during March 20 and 21 in IE9 when Windows Update was rolled out in the market. If it comes to downloading, IE 9 has shown 2.3 million downloads with Firefox at 37 million downloads. With all the giants running for neck to neck competition, Microsoft has proved that it’s unaffected with the presence of other runners when it comes to the Open Web.
If benchmarks like JavaScript and HTML5 performance are considered, Firefox 4 has been strongly preferred by most of the users for its fast HTML5 processing, boot time, and memory usage.
Though Chrome has already beaten Google's V8 benchmark, the next version of Chrome is expected to deliver better performance on JSGamebench test. Moreover, experts have claimed that boot time and memory performance of Chrome is going to improve significantly.
