StartUp Britain is led by the entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs, to deliver the support and advice for startup companies. StartUp Britain is private sector’s contribution to the Government’s call for an “enterprise-led” recovery.
This campaign was launched by the Prime Minister, David Cameron, which offered 250,000 youngsters £10 loans under the "Tenner Tycoon" scheme. The campaign was started with the aim to boost up entrepreneurs.
According to the organizers to start a business in Britain the support of more than £1,500 is significant. The package also includes marketing, broadband, mentoring support, finance, and help with services.
Google is giving very limited amount of free advertising for each start up, Regus is providing a month’s free Businessworld membership, on the other hand blue-chip consultancy McKinsey is joining with leading employers to encourage "innovative graduates" to start up on their own.
Mr. Cameron said that people who help in business are people who do business. He said that StartUp Britain will be a supports for the UK’s 270,000 businesses, which starts up every year. He added that this campaign is fully supported by Coalition Government. StartUp has also gained the confidence of some international brands like BlackBerry, Experian, Intel, Microsoft, McKinsey, Barclays, and Virgin Media.
