The Glenmark Pharmaceuticals S. A (GPSA) has confirmed that they have discovered the Novel Biological Entity, GBR 401. This monoclonal antibody targets CD19. The Glenmark Pharmaceuticals S. A. (GPSA) is owned by the Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

As per the researchers the Novel Biological Entity, GBR 401 is mainly targeted by deceases like lymphomas and leukemia's of B-cell origin. The GBR 401 was used with the regular treatment for the patients suffering from B cell malignancies. There were strong anti-tumor potency and anti-proliferate apoptotic activity in several in-vitro noticed.

The invented GBR 401 molecule is anti-CD19 monoclonal antibody. This can help doctors in the treatment of lymphoma and leukemia of B-cell origin. It is considered in the section of anti-cancer biotech product called rituximab. As confirmed by the drug makers, there are sales worth USD 6 billion made every year around the world.

Glenn Saldanha, Chief Executive and Managing Director, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, confirmed that the researchers will be provided the required support. The firm is sure that the researchers will provide the required support in the launch of the product soon.

The Glenmark Pharmaceuticals had confirmed the completion of phase-III trials for the drug Crofelemer. This drug will be used for the treatment of HIV-associated diarrhea.
