The heart diseases are always considered as a health hazard. Every year numerous people are diagnosed with a heart disease. A lot of these are kids. It has been seen that children at a very young age are diagnosed with heart diseases. Many of these kids lose their life due to the disease. The authorities have been concerned about the increasing number of kids diagnosed with heart diseases every year.

A group of scientist has confirmed that they have discovered a new group of genes. As claimed by them these genes are responsible for causing the heart defects in children.

The research was done at the Cardiac Research Institute in Sydney. It was led by Victor Chang. The researchers claim that the genes are active in the heart but are not directly involved in heart's development. They believe that these genes can be responsible for the heart defects in children.

Children can have problems like hole in the heart and complicated conditions that can cause the death of the baby in the womb or can severely damage the heart's rhythm and blood flow.

The available cures for the heart diseases in children are not completely successful. Normally the doctors have to perform many major surgeries on the child.
